The browser platform runs from the Personal Area in Chrome, Edge or Safari, so a laptop on the kitchen table or a tablet browser reaches the account with nothing installed on either of them, and the desk machine keeps its own layout untouched in the other room.

A browser tab as the light half of a home setup
Household laptops accumulate software they never needed, and the trading setup does not have to be part of that. Loading the platform in a browser leaves the machine unchanged, which also makes it the sensible answer on a device that is short of storage or that somebody else in the family administers.
Because the session belongs to the account rather than to the computer, moving between rooms costs nothing. The tab is closed on one device and the account is opened on another; what is on screen is the same account seen from a different place, not a copy that has to be brought up to date.
Signing out is the whole clean-up. On a shared machine that is the important detail: once the session is ended, the next person to sit down finds an ordinary browser and nothing else.
